How to Measure Your Watch Band

Watch bands are ordered by the lug width of the band (in millimeters) where it attaches to the watch. The easiest way to check your band size is to check the back of the band for any stampings that would indicate the size (like the sample below it means 20mm). If there is no numbers on your watch band, you will need a ruler to measure it.

When you measure a watch band, you can use a standard ruler that offers a Centimeter side. Always measure in centimeters as inches are too large for an accurate conversion to millimeters.

Measure the lug width, the distanc of the two holes on your watch case. (see red line labeled “lug width” in image)

Once you have the measurement in Centimeters, move the decimal one place to the right to convert your measurement into Millimeters. In the image above, you can see that the lug measures 2 Centimeters, which converts to 20 Millimeters. This means you need to choose a 20mm width watch band.
